The Westmont Parent Bowling League

PTSA Bowling League Flyer
Why:
This league is as a fun way to support Westmont PTSA and it’s a great way to meet other Warrior parents.
What:
This is purely a fun, social activity with some of the prize money being redirected to Westmont PTSA.
Uncle Sam:
A portion of the money spent weekly to bowl is tax deductible.
Where:
Cambrian Bowl in San Jose. Less than 10 minutes from Westmont at Camden and Union.
Who:
All Westmont parents, teachers, friends, relatives, etc. - no kids.
When:
The league bowls 3 games on Monday nights starting at 6:10 p.m. The season starts in September and ends in May.
How many bowlers:
From 48 to 64 bowlers depending on the number of lanes Cambrian can give us. We will also keep an active roster of
subs for those times when your schedule doesn't allow you to attend. Some teams may elect to keep a 5th and/or 6th
bowler on their roster to cover absences. We will also try to keep a roster of roving subs.
Cost:
Cost is $21 per player/per week. Shoe rental is $3.50/night. Or sponsor a team for $84.
Training:
Don’t know how to bowl? Fear not! We may be holding several classes prior to the start of the league for those new to the
sport.
Administration:
The bowling alley takes care of nearly all administration. They provide the stats service, produce the weekly stat sheets,
set up the automatic scoring, provide standard by-laws and even provide a banking service for the money. All we do is
have fun! I will act as President of the league and the bowlers may chose to elect a treasurer.
